Harry - while I agree that the NHS that Obama is planning is dreadful, its unfair of you to characterize the UK health system as being communist. The UK has a socialist health system, not a communist one. And there is a difference.

Now, on a different not, I'd like to hear from people in the UK, particularly the guy who came out and slammed me, about this report...

I know it was lost on you, but that is the point that Harry was trying to make... A NHS isn't free of blemishes..

BTW, all that money that was paid out went to 11, 478 claims.

Ya what it dosen't tell you is all the other clamis that ppl didn't make, i'm sure more ppl had issues but didn't file a claim, not all of us are sue happy......

Point being, for every horror story you have, theres the same **** going on in the US with our health care system but atleast everyone is coverd in the UK unlike the US where some people can't get any care at all.

Care for all>Care just for the rich
I'll take my chances, I'm sure the rich will not like it......but who cares about them? I don't, they don't care about me why should I care about them.

It also doesn't tell you all the claims that were frivolous but still paid on, and it doesn't tell you how many claims were denied..

Care for all>Care just for the rich

First of all, there is care for everyone now. Its a matter of whether or not you want to go and get it. This is one of the fallacies that people fail to realize. Right now, I can go out and get an 80/20 health care plan and pay about the same as I am paying now. And its available to everyone.

Secondly, what do you consider "the rich" because anyone who makes over $50 grand isn't rich.

Third, There is no such thing as healthcare for all. And that includes the national healthcare systems.

There will always be people who don't want the extra burden of paying for insurance. So why force them to bear the burden for other people? That isn't what our country was founded on..

What do you consider rich? How do you know that the "rich" don't care about you? Why do you think you are entitled to what they have without having to work for it?

I'm going to force them to get it because, I don't want to keep paying for them to go to the ER, you might want too but I don't......

When I have I ever said I want somthing for free, or I don't want to work for it?

As far as the rich caring about the poor, don't make me go into it plz I would rather not and I really don't feel like typing a few pages worth.

I value hard work, I value human life.

We are not all the same, some of us have problems and I myself don't mind giving a handup.

Great story, should read it.
It really dosen't have anything to do with health care and more to do with how we should treat our ppl.

I agree (not communist) I get all worked up at the way the Obama Groupies just want to dive right into this health plan when most of the Politicians themselves don't know everything thats in it and I think they should explain to the people why THEY AREN'T GOING TO USE IT IF IT'S SO GREAT.

Obama made UHC a central tenet of his candidacy, he took office 8 months ago and here we are still talking about possibly holding a congressional vote on it at some point in the future. Tell me Harry, what exactly is not diving right into this health plan?

Let me see if I can guess, you wanna study this proposal for Umm...
