Who SNAPPED for Ghost?

Didn't see the game. Papers are all focused on Offense w/ mentions of Edelman on ST. Otherwise not seeing other details. DOnt have time to search.

Who Lsnapped for Ghost? Was it same both times? Same for Walters? Has that battle been decided or will we see the other guy in Game 2?

Ingram was in there I noticed in the 2nd half.

Ingram played the entire game. His first snap was a bit high, but Hanson handled it. Randy Cross commented on how his snaps were bullets (I believe is the word he used.

Walters? Ken Walter is long gone, Chris Hanson is the punter. ;)

Hodel was inactive last night. Ingram snapped the entire game.

Re: Who SNAPPED for Ghost?

Ingram was in all game a poster above noted one seemed high....I thought one of the ones late in the game seemed low.

I wouldn't read too much into the playing time though as they may just be rotating games or they may just know what Hodel is capable of seeing how long he has been in the league and they may want to give the rook as many reps as they can so they can be confident if they chose him. I am sure the holder and kickers are getting real familar with both by now and I bet this is decided just prior or around first cut so the last week or so can be all with one guy.

The job is probably Ingram's to lose. The Patriots did not spend a

draft pick with a good sized bonus to cut the player right off the bat.

Not sure. I'm not even sure who made most of the tackles, receptions, etc, because the tv coverage was so terrible.

The patriots don't operate like that. If they gave a kid a big bonus and used a draft pick on him, and he came in and clearly wasn't NFL quality, they'd cut him. Its sunk cost.

Re: Who SNAPPED for Ghost?

His snaps were quick and accurate. I think he makes it over Hodel; it's ridiculous to draft a long snapper and then not use him. I agree that if Hodel were measurably better, they'd go that route, but I'd like to think that years of game tape provides an accurate barometer of potential success with the Patriots. If Ingram doesn't make the squad, I'll be a little disappointed we didn't go in a different direction with the pick. Even so, it looks like a great draft, so I'm not going to complain.

Even if I really did want Rashad Jennings. :)

I think he is of NFL quality. He was the top rated long snapper

in the draft and the best to come along in the last few years. This

is why the Patriots used a draft pick instead of signing an undrafted

free agent. If he can make the team, the advantage is that they

have him signed for four years at relatively little cost.
