Looking forward to the new Sports Radio Station
98.5 FM Sports Hub will carry all the Pats games now with the changes to WBCN.
My biggest hope.....MORE FOOTBALL TALK! I love the sox, but 24-7 baseball talk gets tedious. Bad news.....more Felger. Worse news....more Andy Gresch! |
Re: Looking forward to the new Sports Radio Station
Anything's better than WEEI. I can't even listen to it any more. The morning show should just be called "The Right-Wing ******-Fest Looneybin", since they never talk sports. The afternoon is nothing but Dale and Holley honking horns at each other as they self-promote (that is, if they're actually there). The Big O has his 23 weeks of vacation, and more often than not everyone on that show is just yelling at each other right over the callers. Planet Mikie, well.... ::::inhaling deeply and passing the joint:::
Unfortunately, the 98.5 signal probably won't reach well down here into RI. As bad as The Score was, at least they talked sports on it. Unfortunately, it was usually something like Brown or URI... |

Re: Looking forward to the new Sports Radio Station
I just don't understand the hate for Felger. I love the Pats as much as anyone. But, I will take the objective on looker over a big time homer like a Fred Smerlas anyday.
Even if you don't like Felger....at least he talks football. More than I can say for anyone else in this town. |
Re: Looking forward to the new Sports Radio Station
They start broadcasting tomorrow in time for the first pre-season game.
I actually enjoy EEI when Smerlas and Deossie are on in the afternoon. Callahan may have a "right" leaning slant, but his analysis of sports is usually spot on. From spring training in feb to November...it's 80% red sox talk. Looking forward to hearing more about football. |

Felger is not objective...he is a synthetic devil's advocate. Plus as the local defacto football guy...he has little passion for the home team. Would talk Packers 24-7 though. |

They seem to be making a concerted effort to fly in under the radar... Novel approach.
Tell me they weren't foolish enough to persue Gresh??? LOL |

That's actually the odd thing here. CBS is doing little if anything to promote this launch. More talk about it here than anywhere... Don't seem to have a website, have a twitter page with a handful of followers and no meaningful twits in a week... Maybe they gave up already... |

The funniest thing I ever heard was Tanguay promoting Gresh's football expertise via Gresh having played O-lIne for a div. III school. |
