Cash-strapped Cuba says toilet paper running short - Yahoo! News
Why is that? US embargo? Socialism doesn't work? Too much salsa? The Soviet Union had a similar situation with shredded wheat. But they had ICBMs. Go figure. |

I remember in the 1970s, there was a toilet paper panic here. For some reason, a rumor was spread that there was going to be a toilet paper shortage, and many people stocked up. I remember, I was in college at the time, and went with my roommate to his parent's house -- there in the basement were boxes upon boxes of toilet paper. Seems absurd that people would have fallen for that rumor, especailly since toilet paper comes from the same place as book and news paper. One suspects that Cuba will weather this crisis.

Whenever the weather man says a Blizzard is on the way all the Democrat women rush to the supermarket and fill their shopping carts with Toilet Paper, Democrats must ***** a lot when it's snowing.................:rofl:
