I am currently watching Mike Shanahan speaking to Kraft. He came ut before practice with BB. Do we have a new OC?

He was at Pittsburgh's TC last week. He is going to 5 teams camps, dont remember the others, although one was the Florida Gators.

As much as I love the idea of Shanahan being the OC, would doing that be a bit dangerous in the long term?
Shanahan will be a head coach again in a year or two, so while he might make a great OC he'd also be getting all the inside info on the Patriots, which he can later use against us. |

yeah, shanny is on a fact finding mission to relaunch his coaching career next season. said he wanted to check out some successful programs, particularly running the 3-4.
on one hand its cool, on the other, i'm not sure i want him to pick up too much, know what i'm saying? |

Equally importantly, the Donkeys are paying him $7 million not to coach in 2009 (and, if he really wants to, another $7M in 2010), so . . . signs point to no. :)
