Used to be that way ... comparing soccer today to soccer 20+ years ago and there's way more attacking going on. Seriously ... the problem with selling soccer to an American audience is hard without rule changes. FIFA changing a rule happens less than the Vatican changing their rules. If there was an offsides line like in hockey Americans would love it way more ... but there is no offsides line ... the line is always moving thus the low scores and strategy constantly being the constant. I love soccer but compared to the NFL it's no contest for me ... NFL all day long. |
