19 states issuing IOU next week

Unprecedented number of states lack budgets with week left - Jun. 24, 2009

I'm sure those who favor a weaker federal government and stronger state governments have confidence that the states will know how to work out their problems.

It ain't the last adminstration's doings, it's how the states are allowed to spend. Unlike the federal government they can't run deficits nor spend more money than they actually take in.

They don't have the money so they need to cut costs no matter where, instead of spending money like a drunken sailor to try to buy their way out of a financial problem passing the problems onto the next generation.

LMAO - our situation in CA isn't Bush's fault. It's the free spending Dems out here. "Blame Bush" will still be the battle cry in 2040 and beyond.
