Putting On My Moderator's Hat

Too many personal attacks. Threads will be closed quickly (while I'm online) if there are more than one or two personal attacks. I don't really care who started it. So, chill out.

Also, please do not post more than 4 sentences of copyrighted material. Per Patsfans.Com rules, any post that contains more than that will be closed. We will not close old threads, but will close new ones.

The problem with this policy is that certain people post gibberish or attacks when they want to derail a thread they don't like. Now all they have to do is call someone an ass kisser and you'll make the thread go away for them.

I'd suggest post deletions. Perhaps you could 'grandfather' in the funnier off topic gibberish from Harry just 'cause nobody pays much attention to him any way.

Not really, considering no one on this forum has been ripping the leadership here for this policy of "self-regulation" more than myself.

Frankly, infraction points are the only thing that will send the message to the influx of juveniles we're become saddled with, but this will do for now.

AAAaahhh....you're all a bunch of ..... never mind! :D

Can't we just keep out the extreme righties and extreme lefties? They're the ones who start all the trouble. No one likes extremists.

So why was the homosexual named to the education department thread closed?

Deleting posts has all sorts of complications because personal attacks usually start off as mild and then build up. I'd end up having to deleted too many posts, and people would send me PMs saying "How come you deleted this, but not that." Also, I don't often read every single post in every single thread, and sometimes attacks carry over from one thread to another.

While you are right that people can exploit what I'm doing now, I'm only hoping to exercise moderator authority for a very short while so that people start showing a little more respect and courtesy. If that doesn't work, maybe we'll suspend someone for a couple days. I have someone in mind.

I know how libbies play their game here.

If you don't like somebody's thread, you send one of yours to there and do your personal attack. The thread is closed ! No more question.
