Obama to Americans: Sacrifices are needed to save GM

Sacrifices are needed to save GM, Obama tells Americans | Business | The Guardian

Quote:

In a televised address, Barack Obama warned there will need to be deep sacrifices to keep GM afloat. As he spoke, GM, which employs 235,000 people globally, announced 14 of its 47 car factories in the US will shut by the end of 2011.

"Difficult times lie ahead," said Obama. "More jobs will be lost, more plants will close. More dealerships will shut their doors and so will many parts suppliers."

The president told those losing their jobs that they were making a sacrifice to reshape GM for future generations, ensuring that "all of our children grow up in an America that still makes things, that still builds cars, that strives for a better future".
What kind of sacrifice is it when you loose your job? What kind of future are we going to have when we don't have any money and job?

He wants us to 'sacrify' our job but he couldn't do the same when he ordered his favorite pizza and Broadway show. Is it real?

Dumb post. If GM is not saved, people lose their jobs anyhow.

It's called "salvaging the situation". Jobs will be lost no matter what. Because of GM's stupidity, not anything that Obama did. It's now only a question of how many of those jobs can be salvaged/restored.

Welcome to NEPatriotWorld.

You are beyond STUPID. Guess what, moron? People still loose jobs AFTER YOU BAILED IT OUT.

Did you hear GW CLOSING dealerships and manufacture plants last monday? Of course not, because you are still in Obama fantasy land. If you want to argue, please do it intelligently and don't PUT any SPIN out there because it makes you look STUPID.

It's freaking unbelievable to look at your level of stupidity.

Just stop it NEPatriot. You asked "What kind of sacrifice is it when you loose [sic] your job? What kind of future are we going to have when we don't have any money and job?" and I was responding to that. I stand by my statement.

I'll restrain myself and will avoid calling you "even stupider than me" to avoid getting banned.

Why did Obama throw away 50 billion dollars when he knew that GM would file bankruptcy any way? I would love to hear how you spin your way out of it.

Frankly, I don't know or understand enough about this to make a comment. But this wasn't what I responded to to begin with. You mentioned anothing about the bailout in your original post. So what's with the bait and switch of topics?
