Hello New York Pats Fans
I'm a transplanted Massachusetts fan that dropped in a little town northwest of NYC. Thankfully, with the rapid advancement of technology, it's been quite a while since I've had to depend on the local rag Times Herald Record to provide me with small tidbits of Boston area sports info. One thing's for sure - there are lots of Bill Belichick haters out here....

Re: Hello New York Pats Fans
Yo!
I live in midtown Manhattan, at ground zero for the bars on the East side of the Apple. I take particular delight in putting on my Hoodie and my Three Time SB Champions Cap and walking the streets near my apartment after the Pats have kicked some Jests' butt on a cold, Sunday afternoon. One of the worst nights of my life was when I had to listen to the horns honking and the drunks screaming outside my window for hours on end after the abomination in Phoenix. The Giants are a class franchise and the Mara's are class owners, but that still hurts to remember. However, the Jets deserve everything that has befallen them since the days of Weeb Ewbank and the accidental HOFer, Joe Willie Namath. Our only consolation is that their current ownership actually thought that Mangenius and Favre were smart moves. Sanchez is probably a decent QB and certainly a decent guy, but he's now part of a losing mess that will never deliver a Championship as long as Woody ("Is the ball stuffed with feathers?") Johnson is their owner. Otherwise, I'm completely objective. |

From New Haven, Ct
Now live in Buffalo. JP Losman is my neighbor. Buffalo is much nicer than Albany by the way (speaking as someone who lived in Albany for 5 years off of Lark Street). I think you'll like Buffalo. |
Re: Hello New York Pats Fans
I grew up in the North Shore, but I've lived in NY for about a dozen years. I'm in Rochester now, and I like it here even if Patriots fans are few and far between. After this many years in NY, I commiserate with my friends who are Bills fans, and I even went to a Bills game last year, but boy do I rub it in when the Patriots beat them.
Keep the fandom alive, guys! Just because we're stuck out here in NY doesn't mean we don't know how to celebrate the Pats like they do back in Mass. I'm definitely visiting friends in Boston once the season starts, though; I'd love to catch a game at a sports bar sometime. |
