They are holding demonstrations in Oakland Calif supporting the guy that shot and killed four cops, they had a parade for him, some in the crowd were calling the cop killer a "cool dude"
The only place you will hear about it is on Fox unless I missed it some where else, I don't think Mush Mouth Matthews would talk about this. In America They Now Have Parades For Cop Killers |

Not only did I see this story on CNN today, but here we are regarding the "parade", as you so overdramatically put it: the Associated Press, via our very own Boston herald: Vigil held to show support for suspected Oakland cop killer - BostonHerald.com in fact, hundreds of U.S. newspapers and news outlets (as they always do) used the same AP story on the event... including your very own favorite, Fox News: FOXNews.com - Mourners Remember 4 California Police Officers Shot During Traffic Stop - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News anyhow, moving on: here's ABC: People rallied in the streets for Lovelle Mixon who shot four Oakland police officers - 3/26/09 - San Francisco News - abc7news.com here's AOL video "He Is The Hero" People rallies in the street for Lovelle Mixon who shot 4 Oakland Polices - AOL Video Quote:
Further, such a spontaneous event wasn't going to be covered by every news organization in America. They obviously didn't all know about it before it was going to happen, in order to get a news team out there from their satellite offices. You get how that works, do you not, genius? Regardless, the story was picked up by AP, and distributed to every newspaper or online news outlet who pays for AP service. Which is 98% of them. Get a clue. See you in the next thread, whereby you do your best to portray minorities in an overall negative light. |
Re: I'll get kicked around for posting this.
Every major news outlet is reporting this including SF Gate, NY Times, LA Times, Salon, Huffington Post, CNN it is not a partisan issue.. unless all you read are rightie blogs..
The Washington Times seems to have underreported it though... Washington Times - Around the Nation |

Re: I'll get kicked around for posting this.
Isn't Oakland where a cop just killed a guy point blank for no apparent reason on camera on a subway platform?
I may be mistaken. But that would be a helluva coincidence. Of course if I am not mistaken, it does add some context to this (we are to believe) completely unprovoked show of support for a cop-killer. No this does not make me a supporter of the guy. It makes me someone who thinks context matters. PFnV |
