Big name 2010 UFAs
I know I'm getting ahead of things a little, and we've got a big game against the bills in week 1 to worry about --- special teams are great, they've got a smart young qb, and one of the best receivers in football, etc....
but, w/all this talk about spending on free agents in an uncapped 2010, I thought I'd like to see some of the bigger names that could be out there. I'll start the list off w/our own wilfork and seymour, and I'll throw peppers in there, too. |

Re: big name 2010 ufa's
You paid attention long enough to hit the enter key a number of times, which is impressive enough for someone of this fine generation. Must be taking your Ritalin or Focusin or whatever it is. I can't remember the name of it, because I'm too busy flipping through the channels.

I think it is a good idea to look at next year just so you can help predict what's might be available to you next year when you are signing FAs this year (short term or long term), drafting, and even cutting certain players.
Here's an updated list of all the FAs: KFFL - 2010 NFL Free Agents |
Re: big name 2010 ufa's
There is quite a few players on that list I hope we keep.
wait... what list did I just read .. oh well next article:singing: |

NFL's new DirecTV deal will pay even if 2011 lockout happens - Peter King - SI.com
At these meetings, commissioner Roger Goodell has begun to lay out how advantageous it would be for players to get a deal done before the uncapped year in 2010. Veterans would have to have six years of credited service to be free agents instead of the current four; veterans with three to five years of experience would be restricted free agents. In addition, the top eight teams from the 2009 season would have significant free-agency restrictions; they'd be unable to sign free agents until they lost unsigned players of equal or higher value than the one they want to sign to another team It may be hard for the Pats to sign anyone of substance, unless they let one of their own big name players (Seymour seems most likely) walk. |
