Likely no formal offer, and as he stated it would be complicated if the three-way deal was an option. I suspect there were some discussions about such a deal, but no formal proposition. The deal with KC had to be done when it was done so that the Pats could move forward with free agency.

Did anyone really think Belly would come out saying, "Yes, we were offered two first-rounders by one team, but we declined that offer because we already had a deal in place and it was with my best pal Scott. It was too late."

Bill might lead you guys in the wrong direction, but he doesn't normally flat out lie to the media (injury report notwithstanding). No way he turns down a sweet offer because he "likes Pioli". LOL
