What will Joel Osteen's followers say about his "wealth" gospel now?

With the economy being in such a rotten shape as it is now, people losing jobs left and right, etc, etc, will his followers continue to do just that...blindly follow him?

He doesn't really say anything. He is wishy washy.

Christians shouldnt follow Joel Osteen, they should follow Christ. The "Prosperity Gospel" is not my cup of tea. Cant find too many followers of Jesus in the Bible who got wealthy and lived in big, nice houses.

Also-don't forget about those 2 parables...1) Jesus told the rich man to give up everything and follow him(only for this person to get upset and discouraged, and walked away), and 2) Where all the wealthy people came into church to give a good portion of their riches-they were blessed, but THE MOST blessed person was the DIRT POOR person who gave ONLY 2 pennies, which was EVERYTHING he had.

Ultimately, whether we're rich, poor, upper/lower middle class, or whatever, our own resources are meant to be SHARED. We're also judged by our FRUIT.
