Does anyone know the Panthers current cap situation?
I'm just wondering how much of a detriment having to carry Peppers' almost $17 million cap charge is on them?
I'm wondering how motivated they would be to rid themselves of Peppers. Would they rescind the tag for example? |

As of March 5th, they were supposedly $8.3 million under the cap.

Bad, they have hardly any room with Peppers current deal, and the worse part is that he doesn't want to play for them anymore

Re: Does anyone know the Panthers current cap situation?
Thanks fellas.
So we have established that the Panthers aren't in ideal position to wait this out. At least not if they wish to field a competitive team this year. One other question. Who are the 4 teams Peppers is rumoured to only be willing to sign a long term deal with? NE Dallas ? ? |
Re: Does anyone know the Panthers current cap situation?
An equally important question is where the Patriots come up with
17 million to accomplish the first stage of the signing? Later this figure would diminish if a long term signing followed. |

So, does anyone think the Panthers would rescind Peppers tag and free up some very much needed cap room should interest level in trading for him wane?
