U2 No Line On the Horizon Reviews?

I bought the new U2 album and have to say after listening to it that it's grown on me. My initial thoughts are that I think it's probably not as good as "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" (the last album), but better than, "All that You Can't Leave Behind" (the previous one before it). Has anyone else bought it, and if so, what are your thoughts?

My favorite tracks:

No Line On the Horizon
Magnificent
I'll go crazy if I don't Go Crazy Tonight
Stand Up Comedy
Breathe

We've taped Letterman all week, and I've enjoyed the performances. Although I have to say after making my DVR go beyond the show time-wise, I'm starting to feel the need to watch Craig Ferguson. He's pretty damn funny :D

(NOTE: I know there are a ton of Anti-U2 people out there. Please don't reply to this thread  This is meant to be a generic discussion thread about the new album, not a debate about the band ;))

The last U2 CD I bought was Joshua Tree.

I was a huge fan of the band through that CD. That and War are my favorites - I really lost momentum with Lemon; I have the rest but I never really got back on the wagon.

Anyway, I will return to this thread when I've heard the new one more but I have it on now and am definitely finding it to my liking. The first four tracks were really good - "I'll Go Crazy . . ." not so much.

Craig Ferguson is so underrated... it isn't even funny.

U2... never heard the new one. Joshua Tree obviously is their apex. Achtung Baby was very good imo too. I liked the 1 with Lemon. Their early stuff is good as well (before Joshua Tree).

Their new stuff seems a bit in a box. The stuff I have listened to.

They will not top Joshua Tree though. That is their best.

I was very surprised by how good he was when he took the show over. But, then he got even more limousine liberal than Letterman and I just can't watch him anymore.
