Interesting, especially considering we can have 80 guys.

OLB is being taken VERY seriously this year.

Damn...maybe I'm the ultimate homer, but I actually had hopes for this guy as a developmental project.

Yep. I just tuned in to post the same info from NFL Draft Scout. Said he was released on 2/28.

Bummer, as he was my sleeper pick at the position last draft (for the Pats). He certainly took the long road to arrive at the Pats doorstep, as he originally signed with the 'Boys as an undrafted free agent. Still a mystery as to why he couldn't stick on two rosters.

You're not alone. Was initially seen as a third-rounder, but got hurt before the combine and never got the chance to show what he could do. I thought he'd challenge for a roster spot this year.

Once again, I thought wrong. :ugh:

Damn, we were just about to trade him to KC for the #3 overall pick.

My best lead in this case is that he isn't very good.

I liked him based on his profile, interesting he's cut by the 'boys, Edmonton, and now NE.

I guess the question becomes: Why did Belichick cut him now? Seems like a classic case of cutting a guy early so that he'll have a chance to catch on with someone else in FA, rather than bringing him to a training camp that you're pretty much positive he won't make it out of. Looks like either Robertson has made little progress or Belichick is going to address OLB in a significant way in FA/draft.
