Could Cassel end up with the Eagles?

Nobody knows what will happen with McNabb yet. We all know he hasn't been treated well by their fans and who knows if he wants to stay or not.
They do have 2 first round draft picks this year. If they did trade him they could have 3 first rounders so that could pull the trigger if they wanted.
Just throwing this out there. I have no inside info.

No, McNabb stepped his game up when the coaches lit a fire under his ass. I think a good spot for Cassel would be Tampa Bay or Minnesota.

Ye, I think the Eagles would be wise to go and get him....any team that is in need of a young, experienced, smart QB with plenty of upside potential should deal for him.

Mcnabb is the past there, not the future.....would not surprise me at all if they do make a run for him, Eagles are pretty smart organization.

I realize Kevin Kolb was drafted last year in 2nd round (as pointed out by Patsox below), but still feel that McNAbb at 32 going on 33 and a lot of mileage on that body, Cassel could be a better answer.

Philly drafted a QB in the 2nd round last year. And anyway, McNabb is likely staying there.

I really doubt it. I think McNabb is still their guy.

The "past" was pretty close to being in THIS year's SB. To come that close suggests that they might not need to rebuild. While I'm not a huge fan of McNabb - they could do a lot worse.

I'm with the dude who suggests Minny or even TB. What I do know for sure : he ain't goin' to Detroit ! That place is home to my man : Dante... quite possibly the grestest QB of our, or any, time ! I love you Dante.

Had they not made the playoffs, at 9-7 with a miracle getting in......I could see them pulling the trigger. But 2 playoff wins, especially against the Giants, bought him a return. However, he is making noises about wanting an extension
Now comes decision time for Eagles
If they decide that they don't want to tie up that much money in an over 30 QB, and the Eagles are notorious for jettisoning over age 30 players...they could make a move. Kevin Kolb didn't get it done this year when given the chance in a limited opportunity but who knows what they'll do.

The Igglez would be an intriguing choice, but there's another reason I'm not quite sold--they're also notoriously cheap. They, for one, will not mourn the loss of the salary floor.

I hope this is a joke about Dante. He was ok; but certainly not anything special imo.

Yes, yes it has been an all-day joke about Detroit. Perhaps I didn'T over-do the sarcasm enough. I'll try harder.

I love you Dante. I want to kiss you. I want to kiss you all over without missing a cubic centimetre.

Detroit is a joke - I doubt they have the forsight to draft a good OL with #1 and get a solid QB at #20.
