Re: Gregg Withdraws Nomination
I was going to start a thread on this. I'm glad. Saves the Senate one mainline member on the more conservative side. Getting low on that commodity.
Anyhow, what does the "Department of Energy" do??? This white elephant was created by the Jimmy Carter "brain trust" (sic) to find ways to make the U.S. energy independent. Whooops!! They spend about $30 billion (that's BILLION) per year. Maybe they are responsible for bribing the Saudis and others to keep U.S. gasoline prices as low as they have been, as U.S. domestic production has diminished year by year. // |
Re: Gregg Withdraws Nomination
At least he didn't have tax evasion problems. What an administration.

Re: Gregg Withdraws Nomination
For the sake of our nation I just hope that Obama vets our enemies with more scrutiny than he vets his political nominations.

Re: Gregg Withdraws Nomination
There's something wrong, something very discomfiting about all the stand-downs within this administration. I haven't looked it up  but I'm sensing some sort of record being set.
But this is the first stand down that's related to what I'd call "fundamental differences", sudden fundamental differences reportedly related to the spending package. Of all the stand-downs, this is the one I'd most want to interview. |

Ohok, all I caught was a captioned blurb on Gregg, nothing specific so I didn't know it was connected to that beyond creepy political census horror. Like I said, "fundamental differences", as in a differing of opinion on fundamental issues. Even more telling is the fact he won't run again in 2010. Definitely the one I'd most want to interview, though perhaps best done in a very clandestine fashion I'm sure:cool: |
