John Clayton makes one of the dumbest Cassel statements yet

On ESPN radio. You can hear it at the 9 minute mark.

On the one hand, he says it's 55-45 that Cassel stays.

On the other hand, he suggests the possibility that the Pats trade Cassel for a first or a second . . . and then trade a second to get Derek Anderson. :bricks:

Wow. That's actually impressive he could conjure up a hypothetical so absurd. Good work by him.

Its always a sound move to trade a top 60 pick for a guy who's about to be cut.

Maybe Salsbury just sent Clayton a picture on his phone and he got really confused.

Wow. I refuse to believe he could actually say something as moronic.

Even the most ridiculous person following football would have to say that this logic is totally out ot lunch. Wow. I can't believe what I just saw.

as i was reading the original post, i was thinking, "why is this absurd." 55-45 he is traded, ok. or we trade for a top pick, ok.

where on god's earth did he get the ridiculous notion in his head that we would trade for derek anderson. is he an imbecile

Struggling to even find a reason we would want Anderson for free. Give me O'Connell and some vet weirdo to back him up before Anderson. Does Clayton remember what he looks like (outside of the 1st half of 07) ?

Yikes. Refuse to believe he's sane.
