GSP is the shit. My favorite fighter ever, and this was why.

P.S. How was my prediction?:D

Sorry I missed this yesterday. GSP winning is not surprising, but GSP dominating Penn is. That was nuts. GSP is definitely one of the most gifted athletes on the planet.

I'm a huge Karo fan, but he was lucky to get that call. It could have just as easily gone the other way.

I'm thinking Machida is due for big things though. What a display against a very dangerous Thiago Silva. A lot of know-it-alls at Sherdog may hate Machida, but Rogan and Goldberg nailed it: he takes the least damage and lands the most shots. That's a winner everytime.

Haven't watch the Diaz/Guida fight yet, but I'm sure it's good. Great night for fights.

This was a dream card for me because my two favorite fighters are Machida and GSP. It couldn't have worked out better for me. The dbags at sherdog that hate on Machida are the same ones that trash talk every fighter who isn't Wandy or Penn. Machida is just so graceful to watch, it really annoyed me how people just want fighters to go in there guns blazing and swing until either they or the opponent gets caught. There's a huge difference between elusiveness and "running away" and Machida has never "run away." I guess Rampage gets the title shot first if he beats Jardine which I don't have a huge problem with seeing as though I thought he actually beat Forrest in that fight. Meanwhile Machida has put beatings on Tito and Silva and has barely been touched doing it.

As for GSP, what an animal. I really like BJ Penn but his trash talking was getting intolerable and it was nice to see him get knocked back down to earth. I think GSP's greatest attribute, and the one that makes following him so rewarding, is his ability to improve in every single fight. Last night his striking was so much better than it was 3 years ago (or even during Fitch) that it was just a thing of beauty. He's now got outstanding striking, the best wrestling in MMA and is likely the strongest P4P fighter out there. The sky's the limit for GSP.

The Karo decision could have gone either way and personally I didn't think he should have won but I didn't have a huge problem with it.

I HATE Penn's trash talking. Some amount is fine, but the whole "errgh I'll kill him and rip his head off and eat his heart grr" is just awful. It's hard for me not to root for GSP, he's such an incredible athlete. And you're right, he's like the Borg from Star Trek (I know, two discussions that couldn't be farther apart). He analyzes his weaknesses and immediately corrects them. Awesome.

I sure hope Machida is next in line after Rampage for the belt. But he might have to go through Forrest. Either way there's some great fights coming up. I think it's ok Karo won, the other guy didn't do much either, especially when Karo seemed out of it and he couldn't take advantage of that. But it really could have easily gone the other way.
