Reiss: Cassel part of Super hype

Cassel part of Super hype - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com

Gatorade, which is re-branding itself as "G", will have a "studio" set up in the Tampa Convention Center. Cassel is one of the athletes scheduled to be present to assist in the marketing efforts.

What a difference a year makes for Cassel.

Good for Matt. Also, I'm sure more exposure like this would only help his marketability (is that a word?) for teams thinking about trading for him.

"G"? They actually paid someone in marketing to come up with that?

"I'm gonna go score some G, because I'm really thirsty."

FWIW, it's actually "Gatorade G."

LOL seriously.

It's called re-branding,branding being the (fairly) new marketing buzz word. Gatorade (WAY too long to say of course  plus it's been around a long time) morphed into G,just G. Does it have the same color scheme I wonder? And what will they do with all those Gatorade-branded towels:eek: :D

EDIT: I didn't see that it's actually "Gatorade G" lol. That's even odder, but congrats to Matty anyway!

Is it some type of new gatorade is it the same old Gatorade plus a G. I prefer Pepsi P anyways.

Probably the same marketing geniuses that helped Prince relabel himself at one time. Remember when he switched from Prince to..............?............and then back again.

I wish we could just put Matt in suspended animation until Tom retires. Hmmmmm I wonder if he would agree to be cryogenically frozen until then and sign a contract that becomes active as soon as he's woken up lol

I'm always interested in watching people who are brilliant enough to rise to the very top of their 'industry' make the Coca Cola mistake time and time again.

"The scientifically-proven formula of Gatorade Thirst Quencer remains unchanged in Gatorade G. The difference is all about attitude."

I actually got a giveaway free "G" bag in park city last week. It's a nice bag.
