Way to go Sammy!... but look at 1997
Sammy Morris: Ed Block Courage Award winner
Link|Comments (2) Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff January 22, 2009 03:15 PM Every year, one member from each NFL team is honored with the Ed Block Courage Award, and this year's Patriots recipient is running back Sammy Morris. The award goes to the player who exemplifies the principles of courage and sportsmanship, and serves as an inspiration to his teammates. Morris and the other award winners will be honored March 10 in Baltimore. A look at past Patriots winners: 2008 -- Sammy Morris 2007 -- Steve Neal 2006 -- Rodney Harrison 2005 -- Tedy Bruschi 2004 -- Rosevelt Colvin 2003 -- Mike Vrabel 2002 -- Joe Andruzzi 2001 -- Ted Johnson 2000 -- Tedy Bruschi 1999 -- Drew Bledsoe 1998 -- Troy Brown 1997 -- David Meggett ---- |

His injury last year was a "freak' injury for football- more common in a car crash. But he came back and had very good year.

Congrats Sammy! We deserves.
It really disgusts me though that Meggett has any association with the Patriots. It is a shame that he dishonors an award that honors the best of the Patriots players. |

I mean, they probably could have picked a better winner, but it's less disgusting and more hilarious. |
