Did a coin toss decide our season?
There are lots of reasons why we are fighting for our playoff lives right now, injuries, not being able to get off the field on 3rd down, etc.
but to have the "luck of a coin toss" figure so heavily in the picture.. stinks! |

Well yeah, it was the coin toss or any one of those other four losses.

Re: Did a coin toss decide our season?
I would say our team-wide meltdown in the Pittsburgh game will haunt us a bit more if we don't make the playoffs. We came out hot and simply fell apart.

Re: Did a coin toss decide our season?
The Gaffney drop, the Thomas penalty, the coin toss, the 3rd and 15, the Pitt meltdown, anyone of those changes and the Pats are in the drivers seats. But could've beens don't get the Pats anything, and I'm sure all the team is focused on right now is taking care of business at 1 pm on Sunday.

Re: Did a coin toss decide our season?
Sudden death OT is rediculous, each team should be gauranteed one possesion....

Re: Did a coin toss decide our season?
Can we stop this?
We're 10-5 and we deserve to be 10-5, it's a miracle we even got to overtime against the Jets and letting them convert 3rd and 15 is completely our fault and inexcusable. |
Re: Did a coin toss decide our season?
It appears that losing 5 games with 2 of them to division rivals and 3 others to conference rivals is what is helping to decide the future of the Patriots this season
Isn't it a little foolish to look to blame the .01% of circumstances that you can't control instead of the 99.99% of circumstances that you can control when things may not work out? |
Re: Did a coin toss decide our season?
It is kind of amazing that one bad half of football took us from "playoff bye driver's seat" to "need win and help to get in".

Re: Did a coin toss decide our season?
This is the kind of thread I'd expect on a Chargers board.
