Do the Broncos have a shot of beating the Jets this week?
One of the three teams that still have a winning record on the Jets remaining schedule.
I would feel significantly better going to bed Sunday night being tied record wise with the Jets, with two divisional games still on their schedule. Hopefully Jay Cutler can take advantage of their 26th ranked pass defense. Bronocos have a shot, or is this an easy W for the rat pack? |
Re: Do the Broncos have a shot of beating the Jets this week?
The problem with the Broncos is they can't stop anybody on defense.
My prediction is this will be one of those games that will be closer than most people think, with the possibility arising that the Broncos might actually win the game, only to screw it up late in the game. I find that when I'm rooting for the upset as it's developing, it usually doesn't end that way. |

I hope they do. Where's the game?

Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are going to carve up that D for 200yds on the ground.
The only hope Denver has is if NY somehow takes them lightly. I'm not betting on that. Regards, Chris |

Of course they CAN, any team that can pass well has a chance against the Jets. I expect the Jets to win but they are far from an inpenetrable force.

Re: Do the Broncos have a shot of beating the Jets this week?
Jets are the best team in the AFC and the Broncos are an inconsistent pile of dread.
I'm expecting a score to the tune of 41-13. This will be an absolute blowout, especially considering it's at the rat trap. If the Jets win consider the division over because this is actually one of their "harder" games. We can beat Pittsburgh and still be the 7th seed Sunday, that sucks. It stings so badly that this season we single handily... 1) Started the Dolphins winning ways helping them become playoff competitors. 2) Instead of burying, resurrected Peyton Manning and the Colts from the dead. Could of been: 3-5, with playoff hopes very hurt. Instead: 4-4, currently on a four game winning streak and a lock to get the first Wild Card spot. 3) Instead of locking up the division, gave the keys to the lock to the Jets while in turn also making them the best team in the AFC. |

I think denver flip flops on how they show up from week to week. They could have a good game and stomp, or they could fold and get stompped.

Re: Do the Broncos have a shot of beating the Jets this week?
The Donkies suck and will lose. If the Raiders and Chiefs had a real team this year they would be in last. They both beat them, so that should tell you something about how great they are.
Rememnber when Cutler was the next ELWAY. Couldn't happen to a better team. I never root for the Donkies...ever! |
Re: Do the Broncos have a shot of beating the Jets this week?
They do have a shot. Not a great one, but a shot none the less. The Jets' pass defense isn't all that great. This could easily be a shoot out.
I don't get the Jets bandwagon jumping that is going on in the media. They were an overtime coin flip away from a loss to the Pats although the media are acting like they beat the Pats by three TDs and ignore the fact that the Pats totally dominanted them in the second half and the Jets could only stop the Pats when the Pats shot themselves in the foot. Now that they beat the Titans, many in the media have them the second or third best team in the league when they were in the 15 range two weeks ago. I think the Jets are a top team right now, but I can see them losing as much as 3 more games this season. The Broncos could be one of those games because the Broncos can score points in the air and the Jets can't stop people from scoring points in the air. |
