BB Press Conference 11/24/2008
Did any of you catch his press conference yesterday?
He seems agitated about any question related to Cassel. I think he is trying to downplay his value, looking forward :) |

Yes, I know that's a slight exaggeration - Key word: slight. |

However, yesterday his agitation seemed calculated, which is my point, downplaying stellar play at the QB posiiton...:). |

Word. Also I think he's frustrated by the fact everyone's so focused on Cassel which sort of implies almost a disregard or whatever for the accomplishments of the rest of the team who really have grown right along with Matt, adjusting to his style, etc. Plus all the adjustments the D's had to make as a result of losing AD and Rodney even going all the way back to Tank's early injury. Downplaying Matty Ice doesn't hurt either;) |

Also, downplaying Cassel is important because he hasnt demonstrated consistency yet, which is critical. The media (and we) can get all excited about a couple games, but there are more pressure games coming. You cant extrapolate from the last game. This tendancy may make him more agitated

He tried to give credit to the whole unit yesterday. Last week, he credited Moss as the MVP of the game. Today, he's agitated about Cassel questions. See a pattern?? I think even Coach is sick of the polarized reactions to anything Cassel does, good or bad. Last thing Belichick wants is anything going to Cassel's head. |
