OT: Florida State safety Rolle wins Rhodes Scholarship
this is impressive.
ESPN - Florida State safety Myron Rolle wins Rhodes Scholarship If BB likes smart players, this guy should be at the top of his draft list! Don't really know if he's an NFL caliber safety, but becoming a Rhodes Scholar is amazing. |

That is extraordinary!

He didn't really say if he was going to accept and go abroad or not in the interview I saw. If I were him, I would probably accept.

Re: OT: Florida State safety Rolle wins Rhodes Scholarship
I have to admit, I found it hard to believe an FSU student won a Rhodes, let alone an FSU football player. Boo me. Hooray Myron.

This guy is great, I've loved following all of this. From what I could tell on a PTI interview, he is going to take the Rhodes over the draft. I don't blame him.

Re: OT: Florida State safety Rolle wins Rhodes Scholarship
That, is impressive.
Even if he states he going to Oxford, I see someone spending a draft pick on him, a late rounder, like with Stauback. Maybe he wants to try the NFL before residency. I can easily see the Pats do that. |
Re: OT: Florida State safety Rolle wins Rhodes Scholarship
The program is two years, not one. So drafting him this year would be pointless (since he'd go back into the draft in 2010).
And, BTW, he has accepted, so the Pats aren't taking him on Day One. :) :( |
