Father of Patriots QB Brady sued in insurance case | CBS 3 - Springfield's New Choice For Local News | CBS 3 Springfield News Now
Looks like another guy just wanting to grab a hold some of that money in the Brady family - Near $2M? - Thats a bit of a reach in this case IMO |
Re: Tom Brady Sr. sued for $2M in insurance case
who cares? who are you to say that maybe Brady sr. let his son's status go to his head and tried some of our glorious gov't manuveuring? Maybe he didn't pull this crap, who knows. Shouldn't be an issue, but given the lawsuit happy nature of the country I'd tentatively side with you on this one.

I don't care who that person is, you don't sue a Brady unless you want to incur the wrath of New England. Boston-area lawyers dispatch!

Re: Tom Brady Sr. sued for $2M in insurance case
I dunno what the motivation is in this case, but it sounds like the kind of suit that gets filed a thousand times a day in this country between business people who didn't put things in writing and ended up with a "misunderstanding."
Brady's dad probably should have known that he is an attractive target, both because of the money in his family and because some people will figure that he'll "settle" rather than deal with the publicity. The other guy should have gotten any agreement in writing before he gave up those commissions. Other than that, I don't know what to say other than that they'll either settle or a judge will decide it. |

Re: Tom Brady Sr. sued for $2M in insurance case
If Vasquez didn't have an agreement drawn up in writing, then he's such a dumb azz that he most likely would have lost that $600k in stupid decisions sooner or later anyways, and deserves nothing. Regardless, it should be fairly easy to show whether or not he is owed any unpaid commissions and expenses. The fact that he was fired sounds more like a case of a disgruntled ex-employee than anything else. If he was a good enough salesman to bring in enough business to earn that much commission, then he wouldn't have been fired - unless the sales were fraudulent, or something similarly offensive.
