My next door pilot neighbor flew in Nam with Trent's dad. Been following the Edwards kid since he was drafted. Knew he was a LOCK to bench the excerable Rob Johnson.

I guess when you have a QB as good as Brady, it gives you that much more room to develop starting caliber backups. The pats went through like 5 before they settled on Cassel. Imagine what they saw in O'Connell that they had to draft him. In the third round, no less.
As much as I'm distraught at Brady's predicament this season, I can't help but be reassured about Belichick's decisions after seeing Cassel's progress. I'm so glad they kept him even after a so-so preseason that was less impressive than his current backups. |

Trent Edwards was the last recommendation by the late Bill Walsh before he passed.

And no, I wasn't drinking. I was supposed to be babysitting though. P.S. However, the same football sentiments regarding the equally excerable J. P. Loserperson |

I love watching Edwards. As much as I don't like the Bills, I can't deny that I think Edwards is going to be a really good QB for a long time.
