Since when is Football a republican sport?
 

I was watching "Football Night in America" just a few minutes ago and it made me think of the idea that the network is trying to make football some sort of symbol of American patriotism. It's not.

Should we now believe that watching the NFL is "a patriotic thing to do". I just thought it was a ridiculous title to give to a pre-game show.

It's like you can hear the guy with the deep voice saying,

"And now, FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA"

It kinda reminds me of the republican tactic of calling people "Real Americans". As if this program is a show for "Real Americans"!

Let's get real.

I don't think I remember Keith Olbermann speaking at the Republican convention.......
They may try to make it out to be patriotic but trust me, Olbermann and NBC are hardly Republicans...............

My point is, FOOTBALL has NOTHING to do with patriotism or being a real American, we can all agree on that fact. the point is, it's just another sport. But the title attempts the give the viewer the feeling it's something every American does on Sunday nights and when they do it, it gives them this patriotic feeling....not true.

This is not a hugely seriousl thread, so let's not try to make it such.

One can only surmise from that that you are saying if it's patriotic or "being real American" it has to be Republican and couldn't be Democratic. I can see why you are a big time Obama/Ayers supporter.

You wouldn't know soft underbelly if you found one. You're silly enought to follow a MAN and obey HIS rules as if he is not a man, but a god. Yet all he is a false prophet who thinks all women like him. So does that mean that all your wives and daughters will mysteriously not be able to help themselves when in his prescence?
