Phillies = 2008 World Series Champions
Yahooooooo!!!!!
Go PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Phillies = 2008 World Series Champions
I'd rather lose in the ALCS than get to the World Series and get totally outclassed like the Doofin Rays did, plus losing to a team from Philly would blow chunks.

Re: Phillies = 2008 World Series Champions
I have a feeling that the Phillies watched the Red Sox-Rays series very closely and saw how the Rays could be beaten.

Re: Phillies = 2008 World Series Champions
"Halloween in Philly with a victory parade to rival the Red Sox one in 2004..."
I may be proven wrong, but that would be a stretch. Considering that it was 86 years vs 28 years, can't see anything coming close to the Red Sox parade. "Should be wild here tomorrow......" The understatement of the century. |

We heard the same thing last year after the Pats lost to the Giants, and it just seemed to be a lot of sour grapes from other fans at that time. Respectfully, I disagree with the concept of it being better to lose before the championship, than to not get there at all. |
