Typical Felgerish....nothing of a surprise..except that when he makes a comment like he did in his last words..he shows what a complete hypocrit he really is He was riding Beisel ALL the way out the door...and he NOW makes a comment like that?? He'll use anything to promte himself..as far as I'm concerned he's a pompous a-***** the sooner his squeeze gets her act together in another city the sooner the ***** will be gone from here....

I had a few minor disagreements with the article, but he hit the 'issues' and, even if I didn't agree with every take he had, I did agree with most of them.

It's a sad day when Felger spends an entire article pummeling the team and I have to agree with him on almost all counts.

Same here sad to say. Borges started to backslide a tad this week but that's because he still subconsciously desperately wants vindication. Felger on the other hand absent his aborted solo foray into ratings driven radio, has regained his admiration for the organization in the big picture and as in 2001 wants to see them find a way to shock the world and he gets it will take a tad more than verbal support of an inexperienced yet somewhat intriguing backup QB because he knows it took more than that to allow Brady to lead that 2001 team to that first improbable championship. Matt needs more than a pat on the ass from some veteran multi-millionaires. He needs 110% effort from them consistently. Something Brady got from the core leaders here even as he too struggled to find his rhythm early on.

Sara's back on Fox here so they ain't going anywhere. He was mocking himself on the Beisel comment. Breathe when you read...;) This is some pretty rational analysis from a pompous ass...

Felger has been much better since moving to EEI. In fact, I actually look forward to hearing him in spot duty on EEI b/c I know he is at least capable of generating a valuable sports conversation. Can't say that about all the hosts on EEI.

Just have to say I think he's wrong about Moss - and Troy Brown was on Sports Tonight last nite with him and basically shut down Felgers argument on Moss. Brown flat out said that the passes to him were off the mark, underthrown and that Moss did what he was supposed to do - not go for the ball until the very last minute so as to tip off the defender as to where the ball was, particularly since it was underthrown.

So, even a revised and improved Felger still has his stubbornness. Despite an experienced and respected NFL receiver explicitly telling him that Moss did as best he could and that it was the quarterback's fault, Felger can't help but criticize Moss.

Deus? Are you there?

Not having read the article first, it was curious to see your grudging acceptance of Felger's opinions. Now I know why. You might want to rethink your reliance on using Randy Moss as the scapegoat before you sink deeper into the quicksand.

Well even different players have different opinions. Fred Smerlas and Christian Fauria who are a tad more removed from the immediate than Troy said on Sunday night he has to fight to catch those balls and on the SLIGHT underthrow he has to use his body to box the defender. Stealth may be Randy's game but he's waving for the damn ball and once it's in his mitts he better hang on to it. This isn't something in a vacuum either - been the case since the end of last regular season. His only pass from Brady this season he freakin' fumbled...and after holding the ball a tad too long for his own health to get it to Moss Tommy hobbled off the field for the last time this season knowing that.

For sure. Felger will always be right whenever the Pats lose or flat out stink  same as a cheerleader type will always be right whenever the Pats steamroll their way to victory.

If your misery needs company,Felgie's your go to guy:D

Actually he's fairer and less crazed than a lot of them-Maz,King,Borges who simply hates ALL things Belichick, and the list goes on. Tom Jackson...so many.
