OT: The Raiders...what a dismal franchise
Fantasy Football, Baseball and Basketball - news, projections, rankings, draft guide - Rotoworld.com
Javon Walker was unable to finish Raiders practice Wednesday due to continued trouble with his hamstring. "Here’s the guy who was supposed to be the No. 1 receiver when he comes in," coach Lane Kiffin said. "Unfortunately he’s had some issues and he’s had the injuries, and here we go again." Walker is uncertain to face the Bills. Source: Oakland Tribune 2. DT Tommy Kelly who they decided to make the highest paid DT ever was arrested for DUI sunday night. 3. Instead of taking care of argueably the best CB in football (Nhamdi) they overpay for DeAngelo Hall who has totally sucked the first 2 weeks. On top of all these issues Iam sure you've all heard about the dysfunctional relationship (if you wana call it that) between Al Davis and Kiffin who won't last til mid season. Just seems like they have one issue or bad decision after another. |

Sounds like Lane is having a blast.

For some reason, they never recovered from that SB annihilating defeat to the Bucs in '02.
I remember Al Davis opened up his pocket book and loaded up...gambling knowing that it would be a ONE shot deal. They had a very good team, yes-but it was old, and after that SB, they were $40m over the salary cap. Since then, players got angry and started turning on coaches. Al went back to his control-freak ways. |

Good for us. Moss and Lamont Jordon. May the Raiders stay dysfunctional and continue to provide us with good players in the future.

I do feel bad from them in a weird way. Their loss in the playoffs at Foxboro sort of catapulted this franchise into superstardom.
I really can't believe what bad luck they've been having these last few years. I was watching Jamarcus Russell the other night wondering how he could've been a first overall pick in the draft. Can you even imagine what Pioli and Belichick could do with a first overall draft pick? Anyway, the team really is in shambles and I hope that someday they'll be able to win more than four games in a season. |

They've dug their own grave, so I don't really feel bad for them. Paying Kelly and Hall the type of money that they paid them is the kind of crap that gets teams in holes like this.

Not to mention their stadium is a complete dump (one of two to be shared with MLB) - a concrete disgrace. In the fall when it is shared, they roll the A's bleachers out into the parking lot (plenty of space because only about 7k fans show up for the As this time of year). A concrete plant is closer to the stadium than a lot of the parking for fans.

Or just move the Raiders to Connecticut. Connecticut has been wanting its own team for quite some time. They tried to steal our beloved Patriots. |
