many truly bs threads on this board today, whining, returning tix etc....
my view is:
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, going forward.
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
- game managers have won super bowls before (Hofstetler)
- defense oriented teams w just ok QBs have won super bowls before (Ravens, Bears)
- teams have gelled in December ang gotten a roll to win w inexperienced QBs who blossomed (NYG, 2001 Pats)
I am fighting through the shock. Buckling in for a rocky season.
I am hopeful.
What else can I do?
Re: Wake up
Need to set the right expectation is all. Think Pete Carroll era football-- not last year and perfect season.
Most fans have forgotten what losing is like or what is worse; watching bad football. I'm okay with losing an occasional game, just don't want to watch what we saw in preseason.
Re: Wake up
seriously, anyone who is giving up on the season isnt a true fan. ok, we lost our best player, the most important player. his season is over. we arent the best team on paper. that doesnt win games. we must stay strong, and maintain our belief in the system. nobody expects much from us now. I can see us winning 9-11 games if Cassel steps up. then we just gotta win 4 in the playoffs like that cruddy NYG team last year.
if we give up, the players will give up.
