The ironic situation we may find ourselves in at QB...
It is amazing that just a week or 2 ago, we were all debating and arguing about what would HAPPEN if Tom Brady were to go down with injury, and who would be the best suited to come in and run the offense and hopefully not miss too much of a beat......
And.....now from all reports......We may be living that nightmare/dream (depending on how you personally look at it)........Deus.....Mo....You are both HUGE Matt Cassel fans......may be time now for the "chickens to come home to roost" (as Obama's pastor would say), and we will NOW see if you guys are right........or will be eating crow (your choice: Blackened, Grilled, or Barbecued)......... OR.....Will they bring in a VET should Brady's injury be serious? This seems to be the most logical choice if they feel that they can bring someone in here that has some experience with the offense or can pick it up quickly (see Brett Favre and his quick pickup/adaptation of the Jest offense).... My opinion on Cassel is that he did a good job against a very BAD defense......Good for him....and us.......Now on to next week where we are facing a very decent team at a place that will be very hostile.........Cassel will be in trouble in my opinion.........All you "Cassel is the best backup option.....F' Gutierrez" guys.....get ready for some heat........Because we may be going down this unfortunate road.....alot sooner than any of us wanted to, or prayed we never would......GO PATS |
