Panickers vs. Chillers
Don Banks must read this forum, because his column
Be cool or concerned? Reasons for New England Pats fans to be both http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...ots/index.html is an amalgam of every thread started here since TC opened. |
Re: Panickers vs. Chillers
What we have been seeing in pre-season will not what we will be seeing in the regular season.
I still think this is a 14-2 or 13-3 team and a contender for the championship. |
Re: Panickers vs. Chillers
All of this is based on the dichotomy of a record-setting juggernaut losing to a wild-card team in the superbowl and then getting trounced in three straight exhibition games.
There's evidence to support either that the team remains a juggernaut that missed a single (rather large) opportunity, or that it has critical weaknesses that have been exposed. Situations like this tend to separate optimists from pessimists. |

Rally on, P-Nut!
My theory is that Godell approached his ol' buddy, Robert, and said something like, "I'm glad to keep helpin ya out at the Commish level, but howzbout doin sumpin for me? Like, get your coach to let the rest of the league breathe a little ... gain some hope. Maybe, tank the pre-season. He'd like to do that for me, wouldn't he?" |
