It is a gross amount of money and we all have our beef with the man but when I read that it is a bonus for brokering the CBA and the new Television deals and probably his regular salary too it doesn't seem like that crazy a number. Why shouldn't he get his cut of the deal?

Goodell is doing a darn good job for the owners. He should be getting paid this sort of money.

The owners pay roughly $4,000,000,000 in player salaries.
It doesn't seem bizarre that they pay the leader of their organization less than 1% of that. Regardless of what you think if the quality of job he is doing, the job has an exhorbitant amount of value. |

I'm failing to see much of an issue here. If you want to get sick, look at Selig's old salary figures and what it included.
