Ravens up against a trend that hasn't been beaten since 1951
When the same two teams have met in consecutive years for the conference Title, the team who won the first game also won the second game.....a record that now stands at 12-0 for the past 60+ years......Thats an amazing trend.
It looks like the Ravens have a lot of history against them if you consider these trends and history for anything more than just results from the past  Also some other cool info on Conference Championship history from SI's Don Banks.............. History not on Ravens' side as they try to get revenge on Patriots - NFL - Don Banks - SI.com |

Trend means nothing. You could probably find some equally obscure trend showing that the Patriots are up against the odds as well.

With that said, none of these statistics have a big enough sample size to deduce anything from them. |
