maybe in dec 2005 it was more tolerable to read all of the A'hole posts, you know considering they had just won 3 out of 4 SB's, but now it's been tough to read all these dumb posts. You now it's been a few years since they won, so it's hard for you to take the pain and suffering w/ the bad posting. What a front runner mentality, you sound like a yankee fan with that sort of entitlement. Newsflash the world is full of stupid people that does'nt mean we call the whole world stupid, we just recognize it for what it is and chug along. If you want to be in a really exclusive club go win the masters, they got these cool jackets and locker rooms and stuff.

No, actually it started when Ian linked this board to a Sox board in '06 and then membership just took off. Only whiner nation jumped on the Pat's fans bandwagon and provided a new audience/foils for he who was never happy no matter how we won. They fed off of each other's ego driven victimology, changed the tenor of this place from expansive and informative to hystrionics driven ugliness while nearly tearing it apart, and even after he was escorted to the exit (multiple times) they just filled in the misery gap he vacated. You may notice lots of them only post when they perceive something bad or negative is potentially happening, or when some player they rode like a mule eventually gets cut, because they so desperately want to say I told you so. That is for example Mcbee's mo this afternoon. Might be a bit premature, but that's what happens when they get overly excited...

I was listening to WEEI today and DeOssie was actually giggling at some of their calls. These people can't get the players names or situations right half the time and yet they feel empowered to pontificate about what Belioli should be doing whenever they sense an audience... It really is almost comical and incredibly predictable to watch how easily arrogance and ignorance feed off each other.

I'm a "newbie" (100+) posts. I've monitored this board daily for over a year, or so. I try to be understanding of other people's perspectives. With that said, this is the dumbest, most moronic post I've ever read here (and that covers some territory). I can only hope that this was written with your tongue in cheek (if you know what that means). Jesus, help us.

I love this thread, I looked over the front page this afternoon and there was only one star threads. This board has plummeted in my mind, it once was the best Pats boards for serious talk now it's just scandal, whiner's and other silliness.

I laughed when I saw the date that this thread was started. It seems to me that there has been an increase in posts from people who simply don't understand many of the fundamental tenants of the game. On a football web site, this kind of uneducated garbage both surprises and frustrates me. I come here to read about Patriots football. Instead I get stuff about Bradys kids birthday, how BB does not know how to draft.... and and on and on it goes.
I can handle the trolls because at least you know they are being idiots on purpose. But, many of the people who post here do so for the sole reason that they are in front of a computor and bored.
I wish we could devise a system where we can impose black marks on people who post idiot threads. If a poster reaches a certain number of negative marks, he or she looses board privilages.
Stupidity is every bit as offensive as name calling and other offences that people get banned for!

I'm not here as often as some are but that doesn't mean I'm somehow less of a fan- more like I'm just not a huge fan of spending 24/7 at a computer but whatever. I don't care if you have 10 posts or 10,000, it's all about showing some level of understanding when you DO post.

It's not totally the fault of the posters though- we ARE victims of the media after all, and as we've discussed many times here, some of them, including our locals, leave a LOT to be desired. So in fairness, maybe some of the stupidity is a result of getting sucked in by what's presented to you.

Prime example: Today Felger was ranting on and on about the fact that Moss must have asked to play this preseason because he must have felt he needed the reps. *sigh* Then there's the latest "Bru will be cut" article.

Anyway I agree that there's a vast difference between differing opinions/arguments and posting dumb crap just for the sake of posting.
