Religion doesn't belong on a football board

I hate to tell you this, BradyBirdYazOrr (well, actually, I enjoy it), but we live in a free society, with free speech and freedom of religion.

You are free to practice your religious beliefs, but if you try to cow anyone else into following your beliefs, you're going to be out of luck here. Threatening someone, even with the ludicrous thought that they'll go to Hell if they use words that offend you, will not fly.

For a lot of us here, "************" is nothing more than an interjection. It has no religious connotation at all. It is a noise, used to evoke surprise, disgust, or other emotions. Run it up on an oscilloscope, and it's just a wiggly line, with no more magic than any other word or phrase.

I must say that I never expected to see this issue come up on a football site populated by people of many religions and ethnic origins (like America.) And I wonder how you felt when Moslems objected to the Danish cartoons--which is exactly what you were doing.

Here's something to keep in mind, YazOrr: outside the walls of your church and your home, you live in a society which does not recognize the concept of blasphemy. If you can get that through your head, you'll be a happier person.

Hah I just realized that was directed towards me. So no you have a problem with me cause you think I'm fat. I'm not
If you're a proponent of Dr. Atkins' diet, you can't be fat. I've lost 60 pounds on it and and a nice 6'0", 180 now. Dr. Atkins ruled - RIP.

How come he gets to be a color and i dont? Come on cyan.

Actually I am a Maroon. Maroon and white, actually. If you go over to my aborted thread at KFFL you'll see it's true.

Though a mistake, I reveal my true beliefs over there.

Been on it over 5 years, and I'm not fat. 5'10, 150 lbs, but I can't get off the diet. :) I'm completely addicted to the energy. Plus my blood pressure dropped way off (no more meds!!) and my bad cholesterol is way down, back in the healthy range, so the doctor says don't change a thing.

James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement:

"We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

You may want to let him in on religion not belonging in government...

And how was he to his 300 slaves?

Have we gotten off track here or what???

I thought it was the Kidney, not the Liver, that the protein was thought to be a problem for. Anyway, most people who do the diet well eat low carbs but without mass amounts of protein. It doesn't have to be a steak for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day :)

The doc has, no problems. Not surprising, the common understanding of Atkins is pretty far off from reality, it's not all meat and no carbs. Carbs are only severely restricted in the "induction" phase of the diet. Once you're into the maintenace phase it's totally different. Hell, I eat more veggies and fibre now than I ever use to.

Yeah, we're way off the track of this thread. :) What were we talking about?

Ohhh yeah...... BradyBirdYazz guy

You dont have to believe in God to burn in hell.
It's kind of ironic:

Unless you are Islamic, Hindu, or Budist there are 2.7 BILLION folks who are very sure you are the one going to a hot place.

If you are not Catholic or Jewish, make that 3.7 BILLION.

Good luck - you are REALLY going to need it.

Yeah, I lost my weight a few years ago but I'm kind of locked in now although I do take weekend and holidays off the diet now. Same as you, though, all my "signs", BP, Chol, etc, are really good so why mess with what works :)

He was a slave owner. That's your example of piety?

Go ahead, define yourself some more.
