Agree with every word. Nance was a freaky blend of size and quick feet. Kind of a Ron Dayne style, but much better. He had a lot of 50 yard runs and was a real workhorse.

A complete no-brainer, Kraft should just bypass the process and install him in the HOF.

Agreed, much as I love Ben, I voted for Nance as it's well beyond time that he's in our HOF.

i voted for Jim Nance but compliments to Ben too !

surely one of the best players we had in the '90

bravo !

It's a shame that two players aren't selected each year so

that players from the days of the American Football League

have an equal shot. In baseball, there is a veteran's committee

that chooses players from bygone days.

when Drew Bledsoe will be in ?

im sorry, but i cant think of Ben Coates without thinking of that classic audio clip WEEI had of his baby's momma threatening him over the phone.

I don't think their needs to be a comitee but I think that the system could be improved. First off we shouldn't just vote one a year...as fans maybe we should vote jsut one but to limit only one entrance per year is foolish. They should go thru and put everyone who they feel belongs into the hall and than allow the fans to vote as they come...but also I think no brainers should just be put in and not voted on. I mean it will be pretty foolish to see Brady's name on a ballot someday (as if there is a question).

Ben Coates was deserving of the honor. I personally voted for Jim

Nance. The trouble is that not many current Pats fans were around

to actually watch Jim Nance play.

It takes so long for these guys to finally get nominated, and Nance being up against Ben Coates is tough. Why does it take so long? Andre Tippett- how many years did it take before he finally even got on the ballot, then it took 2 years (maybe more?) for him to finally get in. I voted for Nance, not so much because of him being better than Ben but just because he's been around longer and it's time to get the older players in while they can still enjoy it. Geesh. At this rate, our grandkids and greatgrandkids will be voting for Brady and Co. We'd better do a good job of passing on this legacy;)

Coates is deserving but I voted for Nance. Jim Nance was the face of the franchise and a proud player when times were tough for the Boston Patriots. Unfortunately, Jim will likely never get put into the Pats HOF if it's strictly based on fans' votes. Bob & Jonathan Kraft, do the right thing. Put Jim Nance in the Pats HOF.

There's something similar for Canton, too, and you usually see one older guy go in with the 4 or so more recent guys. But this is for the Patriots HOF, not the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
