Re: Patriots special on NFL Network this Sunday Night

If anyone is interested.

http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/networkschedule?selectedDate=06/29/2008&field=selectedDate

"PATH TO PERFECTION",will be on at 10 PM Sunday. If anyone is interested.

There will be Highlights and Analysis of all 16 games. Coaches and Players will be wired for sound also.

Why does this feel as if NFL Network is mocking Patriots Nation?

Maybe I'm just being paranoid. :p

Seriously, why doesn't the NFL sell DVDs of this stuff? They would make a fortune.

(And screw Time Warner for causing me to miss this)

Re: Patriots special on NFL Network this Sunday Night

I was wondering if they were going to put something like this together. I would love to see all the games again (except the last one). It was still a great season with lots of things to enjoy and appreciate. I esp, can't wait to see the Ravens meltdown on Monday night.

If anyone can DVR/Burn this to a DVD, I am willing to pay for it.

They have been showing Pats games pretty regularly these past couple of months on the Sunday "NFL Replay". And yes, the Ravens meltdown was just as enjoyable the second time, complete with Brian Billick's pillow talk to Rodney.

Re: Patriots special on NFL Network this Sunday Night

Since we broke all records last year, people can't stop talking about us and we are listening and watching. I don't know any sport team receives the same coverage as Pats. We are #1.

Re: Patriots special on NFL Network this Sunday Night

except it wasn't perfection. it should be the Path to Imperfection.

Superbowl or Bust

Re: Patriots special on NFL Network this Sunday Night

Spoiled whiny fans (which we all are): "Superbowl or bust".

It was still a kickass season, and the sour taste of the superbowl shouldn't detract from the consolation of having a perfect season, because, in reality, that is harder than winning a superbowl.

I agree, they gave us 5 months of amazing awesomeness. The players can say it's Super Bowl or Bust, they have only a finite number of seasons to accomplish that and rings are all that count when you're a player. But as a fan I've got the rest of my life to watch the Pats and 2007 will always have a special place in my heart regardless of how it ended.

Well said.

The Super Bowl loss hurts and all the hoopla regarding Spygate sort of tarnishes the season, but it was still highly enjoyable. It was historic and for over four months it was perfect. We're a spoiled bunch but let's not become Yankees fans.

In my humble opinion, if all you can celebrate is a championship, you shouldn't be a fan.

Re: Patriots special on NFL Network this Sunday Night

Thanks I think once is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!! ouch.

Re: Patriots special on NFL Network this Sunday Night

I don't think this is a new show is it? There was a Path to Perfection at the end of last season that I just happened to delete from the DVR.

Re: Patriots special on NFL Network this Sunday Night

Think about it this way folks, there is nothing unique about winning a Super Bowl in the sense that it happens every year.

What we accomplished, winning all 16 regular seasons game was something that may never happen again.

Can I honestly watch this now? No, I'd have a sick disgusting feeling in my stomach the entire time knowing the horrific ending. Maybe 5 years down the line with a few more rings to wash the pain away? We'll see!

Ya there definitely was already an airing of a program called "Path to Perfection"...can't remember if it didn't include the 16th game...maybe this one does?

Ya I think the undefeated regular season will be remembered for all time, but for all the wrong reasons.

It's embarassing and true fans know it.

Well put.

This doesn't mean the SB loss didn't hurt and that it wasn't a little embarrissing, just that everything prior to that wasn't erased just because of one game.

Okay...

The stats post was probably made in jest, but that's not what I was talking about. You can celebrate the 18 wins, or the countless number of eye-popping plays, or the fact that last year unequivocally proved that Brady is better than Manning (me, I like the last one :rocker:). Last season was unsuccessful because they didn't win the Super Bowl but that doesn't mean it was a bad season. There was far more good than bad, it's a shame that you can't see that.
