At the new Oil Losers Stadium in that hicks town - More info to come

Well the Super Bowl hosts home team has never won or been to a Super Bowl and stands at 0-42 right now so forget 2012 Indy

Think Polian helped in getting that done? - Yeah,I thought so

I'm sure the NFL will give the same parting gift to Peyton they gave to "the bus".

Very nice stadium to host the SB.

The decline of the 500 has everything to do with the IRL and CART split and nothing to do with it being in Indianapolis.

Sorry have to agree with that assesment as much as I detest Indy.

You actually Reinforce my point quite well. Why is the Indy 500 declining? A big part of what keeps sports popular is the Celebrity/Big Money attraction of their Epic Event. People want to see the top celebrities attending these events. They want to read about them in newspapers and magazines attending all the Parties around the event. I can't see Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan talking about where they want to stay for the Superbowl and trying to decide between the Courtyard and the Doubletree? Or how about where the event planners for the Playboy Party talking about what venue is is going to host their party. "We could use the old Skelleger Farm or maybe the infamous Indianapolis Zoo?"
Not that I think Boston would be a great host city because of the weather but it matters a lot less where the stadium is than what kind of nightlife area the city has and what the weather is...The Sports Guy got that right. Miami, San Diego, New Orleans should really be the city EVERY year...

Location does not seem to have an effect on the Kentucky Derby, and it's arguabley the WORST location for a MAJOR sporting event -perhpas second only to Augusta, GA and it's little event in April.

We have plenty of passion, the reason it won't bother us is because if you do make it and win the SB you won't be beating the Colts. I might feel a little different if the Pats beat the Colts in the playoffs that year to make it, then that would just down right suck for us..:bricks:

would you feel better if the chargers beat you again?

o my gosh, you all are just haters! Go get build a stadium, so you can stop whining about how u dont get to host a SB....im sure Kraft has enough money. But this time, if your gonna host the SB, get to the SB and try to win this time! jk. Im not talking to all Pats fans in general, just the ones hating on the Colts (which maybe all of them)

First of all, in the regular season game, Peyton did not half atleast half of his starters and STILL almost came back in that game to win it!

Second of all, at the playoffs, our WR did not catch the ball at the most important plays of the game (aka Marvin Harrison and Kenton Keith). Peyton did well both of those games.

Peyton did well in both games?? Did you even watch the first one? 6 picks. LT and Rivers both missed much of the playoff game and they still beat you in your dome in the playoffs. once the colts can beat the chargers, then they should worry about beating the patriots.

I realize that you're a Colts fan, so you probably need some help. Kraft already built a stadium, about 6 years ago, and he didn't go to the taxpayers for money to build it- he spent $325 million dollars of his own money to build a stadium

Indy sounds like a very hospitable place for visitors from this Colts fan's personal viewpoint. Highlights like this should go over very well during the week leading up to the Super Bowl.

Ok, so I got to see police brutality and excessive force used by Indianapolis' finest tonight.... on my Brother and my buddy that I brought up from Virginia.

Heres what happened.

We get to my brothers at around 10:15... unload the car, then head on down to Rathskeller.
We get there around 11:30ish after driving around downtown for a little while showing my buddy the city. I know I was running late, but still.
Rathskeller is kinda dead but we decide to hang around and drink a beer since they have some damn good tasty microbrews there.

My brother then gets a call from one of his friends that is hanging out at the Slippery Noodle, so we decide to head on over there.

We get to the Slippery Noodle around 12:30ish and find out that there is a KISS coverband. Cool!
My buddy has his video camera and is filming the band, bunchs of people dancing... the place is really rockin!.
We decide to head on out to the next bar after haning out for about 20-30 miniutes, and see whats going on.

Me and my friend go outside and wait ion the corner while my brother is finishing up a few more shots with his friend.
My friend is filming the Jim Beam racecar that is driving around town and all of the fuggin cops. God there are soooo many!
As one big fat cop drives by us he yells out "Suuuuuey" while he is filming him drive by. Ok, he shouldn't have done that.

The cop stops his car. Gets out. Approachs us and starts asking for all of our ID's.
We all give him our ID's... hey, we are cooperating.
He then asks my friend to turn off his video camera. He tells him its a free country. Doh!
The cop wrasstles the camera out of his hands and commences to throw him in a full nelson on the ground while calling for backup.

My brother and I are like "WTF?, we aren't doing anything wrong"

About 6 more cops cars show up and they start moving towards my brother saying that he needs to sit down.
My brother has bad knees and a bad back and tells them this as he is starting to sit down. The cop gets an attitude and puts him into a full nelson and commences to TAZERING him in the back on top of everything else?????

Meanwhile... I have already sat the **** down.

They all try to instigate me into arguing with them but I refuse to talk back and say "you guys might as well give it up, I am NOT arguing with you". What you did was excessive and I will speak with your commanding officer about it when he gets here.... that is all".
Two of them REALLY try pissing me off and tricking me into starting an argument with them. Nope, I'm not stupid.
They bring out the breathalizer.... I blew a .02

Next thing I know is there are about 10-12 cops standing around.
3-4 of them are chatting with me since "I am the only level headed one there" I tried to convince them into just writing them a warning but the other ******* insisted that both of them HAVE to be taken down to the holding pen for the night at least since they are both "drunk in public"

The Sargent basically wrote down my story but backed up his douchebag cops.

So in a nutshell, my brother and my buddy have to spend the night in the pokey and I end up getting all of their belongings and have to go pick them up in the morning.

Serious **** here.

We have most of it on video.

I am going down to file an official complaint with the shift leader tomorrow morning..

My brother had blood bleeding from his temple from where he was thrown down against the sidewalk. He insisted that they take him to the hospital.
That may be a good thing.

Heres the Ironic part.

BOTH of them are Veterans. Brother was in the Army as Special Intelligence and my buddy was in the Navy for 6 years.

Hows that for Memorial weekend respect?

See Rhawd, you should have hung out with us tonight.

As shallow as it is, I want the Pats to win the Super Bowl in the Colts new stadium. I would love to turn on the TV and see the seat filled with Patriot colors, Patriot fans all over their town and so on. For that reason I WOULD NEVER WANT A SUPER BOWL at the razor. Why would I want fans of any other team, say the Raiders, Colts, Dolphins, etc, filling the town, talking trash and getting into the stadium.
