Re: Troy get roasted

It will be really sad to see him with another team, so I do hope that he retires. Selfish, I know.

Re: Troy get roasted

troy is a true patriot and hes going to be missed if he decides to hang it up.

Re: Troy get roasted

Krafty gets the best line...

owner Bob Kraft said, "I think my wife has pretty good taste in the men she chooses, and after our first season, he was my wife's favorite player."

Re: Troy get roasted

Would have liked to hear the comments from Belichick and Parcells. They both have such a dry sense of humor.

I bet those were the funniest lines of the night.

Re: Troy get roasted

I really want him back on the team, one of my favorites if not favorite player of all-time.

Any spot he can get would make me happy. I still truly believe he can make some type of contribution to the team.

He's only a year older then Marvin and still has something in the tank.

In before the inevitable "Why don't we just bring back [insert old retired player] har har" sarcastic comments from the C-list posters.

I said it on another thread.....the way our depth chart looks right now I think there is a role for Troy on this team. Unless we make some big move for another WR or we draft one than hopefully he will come back for what would be a bigger role than when he returned from the pup last year.

Re: Troy get roasted

I hope some of this some how makes it on to You Tube, I checked nothing so far.

Re: Troy get roasted

I don't think he will be back next year, but I said the same thing last year...

Regardless, Troy Brown is a true Patriot for life. He couldn't have been more classy on or off the field.

I second the motion. This guy has been the absolute class of our team for so long.

If you don't like Troy Brown, perhaps it is time for a lobotomy.

Maybe he could just stay on and make a play or two. The fans would love it.

If he "retires", I think he's still on the shadow roster.

Really -- if Welker gets hurt, who you gonna call?

I would be happy with one more year of Troy Brown. I don't want his last play in a Patriots uniform to be that botched punt return.

This is how I see it.

I think he needs to compete like everybody else, and I think he can win (read: earn) a spot next year. I think he is able to contribute. I trust him to field a big punt in a big game, regardless of what happened last year.

Troy has always been my favorite Patriot and if he retires I think it will be because he can not contribute as a player on the field.

If he retires as a patriot player, I would like to see him in the organization, possibly as a receivers coach.

Ultimately, I want him to do what is right for him. If he wants to take time off and get away from football for a bit then cool...

Either way Troy gave us some awesome memories...that we know....:)

Word is.... following the roast, they all played a friendly game of bingo until 3am with Troy driving away in a new car and sporting a few new watches.

Why don't we just bring back Bledsoe, to back up Brady...

If he's going to be on the bench every game I hope he retires...

That's not the way I want to remember Troy. Hard to see him getting more
than 1 or 2 catches a game as long as Welker is healthy. Also ... there are some good little return guys in the draft this year ... Belichick will grab one in the draft or as a FA.

Troy is a true Patriot. He will be remembered well, whether he decides to hang on for one more season or hang up the cleats for good.

Amen. Let's retire # 80, and make him a Patriot for life, either in the front office or coaching staff..

Whatever happens, god bless him. I love TBrown, and it will be extremely sad to see him go or retire...if that happens. I grew up watching Troy and he was always one of my favorite players and always will be. He's a class act, and the kind of man that represents what a NEP is.
