Would you remain a Pats fan if the Pats lost Brady?

What if the team left New England, for say, LA? Would you still root for the Los Angeles Patriots?

Yes, teams move. It's what they do. The Colts did it, the Rams, Raiders, and several other storied franchises.

No. They would no longer be the New England Patriots.

What? It's what they do? As if this is just some normal thing teams casually do that all fans accept?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

If you have to ask that question...then the word "bandwagon" comes to mind. A fan of a team is a fan of a team, regardless of who is on it. Follow the players after they leave, but always remain a fan of that team.

If Tommy B doesn't extend his contract, and ends up leaving the Pats, do you remain a Pats fan, or do you follow Tommy B?
What "if" you stopped posting all the what "ifs" on the PatsFans message board?

I was a Pats fan with Mike Taliaferro at QB so I guess I could tough it out without Brady.

If the Pats moved, then no, I would no longer be a Pats fan. They would no longer be the New England Patriots. That is 100% different than any player leaving.

The closest I would come to splitting my allegiance would be if Belichick was fired and went somewhere else. In that event, I'd have a new 1a team (wherever he ended up), but the Pats would still be #1.

You're kidding right?
If I can support Tommy Hodson I can support anyone. If Brady left ...
Hasta la vista baby ... I still would watch him if I could ... he would take the place of my favorite non-Patriots team that's all...that team always changes depending on who I like for that year.

No, the posting of this thread is not indicative of a bandwagon fan. As the poster, I can adamantly assure you that I have always been and always will be a Pats fan.

I thought I'd throw this question out there to get a pulse on how many people here really thought that Brady = Patriots, which is increasingly what I hear people outside of we hardcore fans in Boston saying.

Giving up the Patriots because a player left is madness. Atleast then you'd weed out the "fairweather fans" or whatever you may call them. Players come and go, thats sports.

As for the team relocating, I probraly would follow as I have no local affinity to the New England area. It would feel pretty weird supporting a team for x amount of years and then suddenly because they moved, just breaking away and not following them.

Pats? Hell yeah!! I love Brady, but I root for the laundry!!

Been a Pats fan since the mid-'70's (though I saw a couple of games in the late '60's). Now, I was a Vikes fan in the early '70's, but only because I could see them on TV each week. Seemed to be little/no TV/paper coverage of the Pats back then, anyhow.
Also, I loved Orr/Chief/Cheesy/Bird/Russ/Yaz/Rice etc.... they've all retired/moved on, but I still love my Boston teams, through the years and through thick and thin.... If we lose Moss; if Belichick gets suspended (for bull-****, btw...) etc, I'll still be tuning in every Fall Sunday (or Monday night)....

Go Pats!!

Tom Brady has given great memoires as a Pat, but I started as a fan of Grogan, Cavenaugh, Eason, Fluite, Wilson, Hodson, Carlson, Millen, Zolak, Secules, Bledsoe and now Brady.. I love Tom Brady, but was a fan before and will be after..

We would lose alot of the woman pink hat fans is what we would lose. They will go to the next good looking QB to come along ... I don't think that is Eli either.

I'm a fan of the New England Patriots, not a "Tom Brady fan."
thank you .another stupid pathetic thread in a recent long line of them. im a pats fan no matter where brady goes.

Who's Tom Brady? Go Pats!

With the way things are going this off season I can see where this question came from. I been a Pats fan my whole life and that wouldn't change no matter who played on the team. Yes I would be pissed, and probably hold a grudge for a while, but would always be a fan.

I was going to say this was a awful thread, but I understand that if Brady were to leave , would we be mad enough to leave the laundry... I know alot of us would be ticked, but I for one will stick by my team

brady isnt going anywhere. im not sure of much but that i am sure of.

Lets not all get crazy here.. you are either a Patriot fan or you are not... what if Brady goes to the stinking Dolphins or Raiders... are you going to give your Brady jersey to charity and go buy Raider crap????... dont jump on the bandwagon if you are going to jump off in signs of trouble...

I became a Pats fan when Parcells and Bledsoe came to town (I was a big fan of both) but I remained a Pats fan when Parcells and Bledsoe left. I will stay a Pats fan when Brady or any other of my favorite Pats leave too.
