Hi all,
So far, my superbowl weekend has not gone very well and I was hoping to turn to my fellow patsfans for some moral support. Here is the story
As has become custom when the patriots play in the superbowl, me and a few of my friends get together for a party to eat, drink, and watch the game, needless to say that was the plan, but everything started to fall apart last night.
My wife called and told me she was going out to eat with a couple of co-workers and then would come home and help clean the house. This was fine, I would do my typical cleaning jobs and she could finish up later that night. That is where it takes a turn for the worse.
I recieve a phone call from my boss around 7:30 telling me we have a very important job that is due right away monday morning.GREAT! now I get to work friday night and most of saturday. I start to work and realize that it is gotten rather late, 12:45 am to be exact, when my drunk wife comes rolling in after one to many ****tails. I get her to be and get back to work thinking that she will now get to clean the entire house on saturday. OOPS! I forgot that she was heading to her grandmas for a visit today and will not be back until sunday after noon.
So, now I get to clean the entire house and do all the cooking by myself, as well as work on the weekend. Top that off with emails from both my friends who were supposed to come to watch the game saying they could not come.
Take a deep breath, because it gets worse. I got up early this morning knowing I had a lot to do today, first of which is to walk our dog. It is nice here today, so I thought I would take here to the park a few blocks away and play some fetch. We are out there having a good time when a lady comes up and asks me if that is my dog, I proudly say it is and she returns the favor by giving me an 85 dollar ticket for not having my dog on a leash in the park. WHAT!! no warning, nothing, i didnt even know that was the law!
Now my wife has called me and continues to apologize for leaving me to do everything and promises to make it up to me (oh,she will ) I tell her that my friends are not coming so I do not think I am going to make all the food I had planned-she has great news though-6 of her girlfriends are coming over because they like the commercials.
That means I get to work, clean the house, go grocery shopping, cook all the food, pay a fine, and watch the game with 6 women who could care less about the game.
of course, all this will not matter at all if the patriots can pull off the victory.
thanks for listening.
