Junior Seau on Howard Stern now

That's like the 15th time I've seen you jump in a thread and call someone's post "the stupidest argument you have ever heard." You got called out now move on before you embarrass yourself again.

When did you become the 'Arbiter of Good Sense?'

What I don't get is this perception that Howard Stern represents the downfall of society when his show throughout the late 80s and 90s would have been R-Rated at best if it was a movie. But somehow hearing the same sort of language and subject matter on the radio as you would watching a stupid movie was a dire portent for our society.

It's sort of like how parents overreacted to the Simpsons and wouldn't let their kids watch them because a swearing cartoon was somehow insidious but the same parents would let their kids watch Die Hard or something.

Wow - 7 pages of back and forth Howard Stern the Monday before the Super Bowl. Can you feel the love?

I joined the board in October so I don't have a point of reference to refer to....but if this is the way you guys are acting now, I can't wait for the off-season fireworks!! :D

I like O&A (and especially boy Norton), but switched from XM to Sirius when Stern made the move. I can listen to Stern for a full four hours, the boys I could listen to for an hour or so before I would get bored. Howard is just so freaking smart and quick on his feet with any topic (from chess to his silly political commentary) he is in a league of his own.

Howard's show is better than it ever was on testicle radio. I listen to O&A on testicle radio now, or free online.

I can understand that people might not like Howard, but people who get all high and mighty about it are ignorant, or evangelicals, or both. Either way, they aren't worth listening to.

I hear that, I'm just on the flip-flop. I get bored with Stern quick, but can listen to the boys for their 4-5 hours, plus replays.

To say that people who listen to either are "stupid" or "ignorant" just isn't true. Everyone has different tastes.

Not a big fan of people who just throw around insults and bring nothing to the argument.

Actually, it's a question not an insult...just wondered why get to be judge and jury over what should be considered embarrassing here?

And Stern is just boring. Funny the first couple of hundred times you hear the same joke....

That's fine, I don't like Stern either. Read back, I was responding to someone who goes into threads only to say "that's the stupidest argument I've ever heard."

Oh, lord.

Boring??

Yeah, I listened for awhile.....sorry my taste isn't yours. Life is like that but at least we like the same NFL squad.

He's not pompous, Howard is perceived as funny by algae eaters of the world.

Some people think anyone who spends an inordinate time watching, reading and talking about the violent game football is an algae eater. Bottom line, live and let live. We all like different *****.

I'm only trying to live up to your standard of douchebaggery. I guess I'm outmatched.

No, not at all. You're at the head of the class. The irony of your comment is that my first post was stating that there was no need for people to be arguing about Stern.

Maybe the people he's conversing with can't grasp his points of view......Although I have never had any issues with his thought processes.

I get that 'what-the-h*ll-are-you-talking-about' look all the time. (As you can imagine).

And yet you still find a way to call someone's argument stupid as usual. Sorry not everyone is up to your stunning level of intellect.

You should have a lot more issues than DI with this thread, then...

There is a difference between having an opinion that insults someone and insulting someone for expressing an opinion. This thread is a primer on that difference.

There are only a handful of insulting posters in this thread. Can you find them, Wildo? They have brought nothing to this argument but personal insults and namecalling, as usual, because they didn't appreciate someone else expressing an opinion.

That may be true, just a pattern I've noticed with this particular poster constantly coming into threads and calling people he disagrees with stupid. Like I said, I also dislike Stern, that doesn't mean I need to insult other people.

You found a way to attack my post, quite possibly without bothering to read the lead up to it. Again....
