JC, I've always found you to be a fair well written Charger fan over on the Charger.com board. You have always treated my with respect when I have posted there as Sam Adams, 4Aces, Boltup, and Bar fly. My latest bust over there was this aftrenoon....the moderators don't even tolerate a NE fan pointing out the absurdity of a Chargers poster even when his posts reek of hyperbole and put down. I love to post on boltstalk.com. That's a very hospitable board.

I would have liked to seen what our offense could have done at full strength, particularly having Gates and LT in the red zone, but such is life. Your defense was just as banged up a couple of those years.

rivers LT and gates were all healthy last year .and we know what happened .that was a pats team without moss harrison welker stallworth A thomas and seau and the pats still beat your team .the pats are better than the chargers .end of story .

I might have a different perspective than a lot of people. I actually played college ball and ended up coaching upon graduating (and teaching too, but, that part of things sucked!). I was fortunate enough to have never had any injuries to my knees that were serious, but, I have hyperextended a knee before and let me tell you it hurt like a MOTHER when you try to do anything on it.

A lot of people might question his toughness because of this, but, when you make your bread and butter in the manner in which LT does, I can't say that I blame him. The thing that bothered me most about his not playing wasn't his not playing... Michael Turner would start for a looooooooooooot of teams in this League... but, that he wasn't a vocal supporter of his team. He sat back... almost sulking. And that, my friend, is bothersome.

Oh, and by the by... congrats on a hard fought win. Now please go and beat the piss out of Elisha?

The Pro Bowl is 3 weeks away... if there aren't any tears anywhere, I don't see why he couldn't play.

I'll be honest in that I don't know the full extent of his injuries, but, as I'm sure you're aware, team physicians are given a lot more power than at anytime in the past. When they tell a coach that a player is a "no go", then that's it. No if, and's or but's about it. Being the litigious society we are, a player who is injured and allowed to play would be a death sentence for a physician... and I don't see that happening.

Thinking about it, however... I'd be surprised if LT played in the Pro Bowl, but, I don't think I'd think any less of him if he did.

It's human nature to find excuses for poor performance; should the Chargers have won yesterday, people would've been blaming Brady and his 3 picks for the loss.

Injuries are part of the game and you'll never find me using them as an excuse...
