However, according to yahoosports.com, Turner surprised his players by entering the emotional fray last Saturday prior to the Colts game. During a team meeting, Turner said, “People want to see (Tom) Brady vs. (Peyton) Manning. Let’s be honest. No one gives us a shot in this game. (But) I believe in you. I believe in this team.”

Turner then reportedly tapped his chest and added, “I feel it right here.”

“You could see him tearing up,” Tomlinson told the Web site. “We all felt it, because we knew it was coming from the heart.”

Turner also appears to have a clue about what it takes to prepare for the bulletin board-driven Patriots [team stats]. Where Schottenheimer once famously talked about injuries finally catching up the Pats following a regular season win in Foxboro in 2005, Turner heard the boasts of Chargers defensive lineman Igor Olshansky last week in Indy - “Seriously, they’re more worried than we are, I promise you. Believe me, they know what’s up” - and cringed.

Turner was disappointed in Olshansky’s comments before adding. “It’s been addressed.”

He can make all the motivational speeches he wants. This game means more to the Patriots than anyone realizes. Why? Because of what happened in last year's AFC Championship Game. Our coach can throw down the motivational speaches too when he's ready. I'm POSITIVE BB will have a good one on Sunday before the game.

All Belichick has to do is pop in a DVD of last year's Chargers-Pats playoff game and that will inspire the team to play better. Seriously, the '06 and '07 Pats look like 2 different teams.

And all Norv has to do is run a continuous loop of the Pats dancing like idiots on the logo in the middle of the field from last year's game.

Or how 'bout Merriman after every time he touches a QB.

why is someone doing a celebration dance and rubbing victory in their oppoenets faces idiots? cuz your baby losers didn't like it? haha - that just shows even more hoe immature LT and his friends are. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it and your just jealous and frustrated, as are they. Merriman is an idiot to do it in the first place- rubbing it in on his opponent everytime he makes a routine sack like an immature a-hole. He should expect to get it back when his pathetic bunch of babies lose the game as they so often do.

chargers will never, ever be winners. they've been in the league 47 years and have never won a superbowl. they have no clue. and they are about as classless as you can get. they should all wear diapers and use binky's.
