Worred about SD Chargers Scale: 1-10

Just curious as to how nervous Pats fans are for the game. As the week goes on, I keep getting more antsy and nervous about the game.

I'm probably at a 6 on the scale. Then again, I'm always nervous about playoff games.

The Patriots undefeated season is being overlooked and here is what I mean by that. Everyone is talking about whether or not they can go 19-0 and not how they already managed to go 17-0. If you're 17-0, something is working for you and I don't care how pumped-up another team gets. You're just better. I'm at a 3 but it will probably go up to a 7 around game time.

10. its the playoffs and its going to be bitter cold and windy .weather is the great equalizer .if the pats dont turn it over they win .

10
win or go home. playoffs are always a 10 on worry scale. no matter who we play

Im not nervous at all, but then again there's always something that just meltsdown a team. Like last year in Indy, however, our Pats are way different from then to now. All this talk about Chargers being a different team, it'll take a miracle to stop NE from kickin their butts. Don't be Nervous patfans, be loud for our Team

I think Jeffrey will catch 10 balls again.

Ten

Worried about the Chargers beating us based on the matchup is about 2 or maybe 3, mostly based on their ability to force turnovers and their ability to neutralize opponents passing game (70 point opponent QB rating, ranked #1). Another 1 point because losing would mean I don't get to see the Pats play in the Super Bowl. The remaining 6 is due to the life-long Red Sox fan in me; the thought of having to hear about it the loss for the rest of my life, which would be often since I no longer live in New England and most everyone else is very jealous of the Pats success.

i've been at about a 6 or 7 all week long. I'll get higher once the game starts.

8. The uncertain SD injury situation makes it tougher to prepare. Plus they showed in Indy that even with backups to some key people they could get teh job done. That's not unusual, it's quite common that a backup comes in with no expectations and shines. But hopefully not for a whole game.

Gonna go with about a 7, this is a good team coming to town, we are better, healthier and in our elements.

I getting higher on the scale ... because of the Weather!

If it is Windy as predicted with 20mph winds and gust higher then
this is not good for the PATs.
It may mean the PATs will have to run the ball a lot.
If PATs mighty passing game becomes limited then this game will be
a close one ... a low scoring nail biter. IMO.
Yes even without Gates and Rivers it could be a close game if it is as
windy as they say it will be.
Maroney may need to be the hero of the day.

today - 8 ... to be adjusted depending on weather.

I don't know about you guys, but this is my take on the worry meter for Patriots games. For me the worry factor always start with 10 before the game regardless of who they play - be it Miami or Colts - doesn't matter.
As the game progresses, if we get a 2 possession lead, it will come down to 8.
And further along in the 4th quarter, still with a 2 possesion lead, it will come down to 6. Untill the game clock reads 0.00, I always have worry about the outcome. That's why I like blowouts. Easy on the heart!!!

In short, for the AFCCG I am currently at 10!

As of now, I feel like the Three Stooges: 6 7/8.

By gametime, I'll feel like Spinal Tap: 11.

10 BECOZ i still remember last year's loss in the second half at Indy. Coudnt sleep for 10 days and it really hurt being soo close. This time it means a lot more for obvious reasons. My one good Omen going into this AFCCG is the number 7. Our SEVENTH appearance in a AFCCG. 7 IS very very special to me and my Religon. Still a nervous wreck though ! LOL. GO PATS. Peace.

Good question....considering the stakes, you'd have to be somewhat nervous no matter who they're playing--say the default setting is at least a 3. How much higher than that for this team? Not much, honestly. Pats at home, playing the way they are, the Colts threw for over 400 yards against SD last week and kept turning it over, Chargers banged up, etc. Maybe a 4?

Honestly. Brady vs. Rivers/Voleck? Brady vs. a team with a very welcoming pass defense? Ummm, put me down for a "3".
